Lottery Scam Warning: Beware of Fraud

Please beware of lottery fraud as there has been a growing number of lottery e-mail scams on the Internet because of which people are losing millions of dollars. The scams include Thai Lottery, UK Lottery, Spanish Lottery, Euro Millions Lottery, and many more.

Lottery Scams

Act fast or lose your money! These scammers make you believe that you have "won the lottery" and you have to hurry and make a payment or money transfer or phone call for the last chance to "claim your prize".

The Government Lottery Office (GLO, Thailand) only sells lottery products within their respective jurisdictions and never require winners to supply private banking information or pay fees of any kind to collect prizes.

Things to do you when you receive a "prize notification" email or letter from a suspicious lottery group or organization:

• Don't respond to the email
• Don't pay any money in advance to collect a prize
• Don't reveal your identity, protect it
• Don't reveal your bank account number or credit card details
• Simply delete the email or throw the letter into the bin

Please bear in mind that there is no legal recourse if the operation turns out to be fraudulent.
